The Big Snow

I'm backtracking here, but we finally got our pictures downloaded from our camera and there were some fun ones. Here's some of the big snow (5 feet) we got back in January. We are finally just now getting rid of the final remnants of that snow. School was cancelled for a full week and they even cancelled Aaron's work for one day of the storm. The kids were in heaven...we went through a lot of hot chocolate...and we were very grateful for a warm fireplace, a big house, and neighbors with snowblowers.

The big boys had fun doing back flips off of our back deck landing (8 feet up).

This is of course, a cute picture of Jenna, but if you look in the background, you can see what showed of our 6 foot back fence...not much.

Aaron and his brother Brad dug a snow fort for the kids in our back yard.

This is Caleb on our back deck...totally stuck and very happy about it.

And this is Aaron shoveling it off so that we didn't have kids plumetting off the sides. Kenzie did convince him to leave one little corner of snow so that she could eat it...one of her favorite things to do.
All in all, it was a lot of fun, a lot of work, and we're very glad to now be enjoying spring.
